“millenials are so stupid, they can’t perform basic life skills” cries the generation that failed to teach their children basic life skills
also a lot of those practical skills were taught in classes like home ec that have been cut completely as schools slash all spending not related to sports and STEM
Although to be fair, you can generally find instructional videos on stuff like this for free.
I think my only issue here is the use of the word, “adulting.” I get it, it is there, and will be used. Hell, I even use it at times. But the idea being presented in that word, that there is even the option for an adult to…*not* be an adult… or that living as an adult is soooo hard that it is a burden…really does seem like something that came from someone who refused to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions and their lives.
That being said, I love that there are classes to teach things that my generation should have been taught by their parents/grandparents, especially for those that have difficulty learning from videos.
MIllennials are making an effort to learn the basic skills their parents were too busy destroying the economy to teach them.
Yeah, it’s the *Millennials* who should be ashamed.
Fucking Olds can go fuck themselves.
That response tho. Better put some ice on that burn, grandpa!
i just had the funniest experience in vr chat, i joined a random server and the one i joined had Japanese people so i waddled around in my goofy club penguin avatar that i have saved, after a while a guy walks up to me and clones my avatar so were both penguins then another guy shows up and clone my avatar
now keep in mind there only speaking Japanese i don’t know what they are saying, then another guy joins in, so i got a group of three penguin friends
we just waddle around and goof about, the one of them tries to talk to me, but not only do i not have a mic i also don’t speak Japanese, they figure out i don’t speak Japanese and start listing various places, they get the part of being European right, and after listing a lot of places they ask if im from the UK and when i nod they all just start cheering. after hanging out for a while one of them gets real close to me and whispers…
so someone just said they’re “really interested in history” how careful do you have to be?
“i just think history is interesting in general! i’m not interested in any specific part of it”: this person is most likely safe. never drop your guard though
“i’m interested in this specific subject or time period in history. (ex. ancient egypt, the golden age of piracy, the history of the printing press”: still probably safe. be on the lookout for certain risky historical subjects. you should know them you see them
“i’m really into WW2 history”: this is the caution zone, there’s plenty of valid reasons to be into WW2, but if they start talking about how Operation Sealion totally could have succeeded, it’s time to abort
“i’m specifically into roman history, the crusades, prussian military history, and WW2”: danger! do NOT talk about history with this person. in fact, do not talk to this person at all. you will regret it, you do not want to know what they think of the treaty of versailles or why germany lost the first world war
“I was really into ancient greek mythology in middle school”: this person is gay
